One Little Whisper {20.thirteen}

welcome twenty.13 and a brand new start.

it has been awhile since last post, things are finally getting back to normal around here.  we are busy calving cows and heifers; the new little ones are busy playing chase and trying to buck like the pros.  really there is nothing cuter than a new born baby calf!  if you follow along with me on instagram you know my love for these tiny fellows! :0) {you can follow here: Follow @fadedprairie}

when pondering my {one little whisper} for 20.thirteen i believed a phrase might be better suited for me.  i recently purchase this piece of chalkboard art for our home and thought why not include the whole family in a more focused year.  as you know though, whispers need to be listened to, they need remembering and they need a voice.  over and over this word was whispered to me…

this one little whisper holds so many possibilities and directions.

{2012} was a hard, hard year for me and my little family.  we were tested in so many ways, i am so thankful and humbled for these tests though.  without them i wouldn’t be who i am today and i wouldn’t be able to show my kids a {different} way of life.  we are seeing with new eyes, we are soaking up each moment and living with grace and humility. we are truly living and i am so, so thankful.

with 2012 behind us i am able to release it all;  lay it down, lift it up and let it all go.  by releasing the negativity, the drama, the heartache i am making room for new.  it with great relief that i do this.  the heaviness inside was choking all the joy and beauty out of my life and i am ready for something different.

not only will this little {whisper} help me release all that i don’t want present but it will help to remind me to {release} my dreams.  it will help give them voice and help make them a reality. it will allow a direction to my life that i didn’t have before. i am completely {blessed} by this still small {whisper}.

i am already working on a new collection that will be arriving here on the prairie the first of march.  there is a story to be told and i am listening.  this tale is about one girl {releasing} her braveness while feeling as if she is completely broken.  {releasing} her wishes and hopes while feeling as if there is nothing left.  her tale is raw and beautiful.  i cannot wait for you to stop and listen, i hope you will be moved by her story as much as i am.

so with {one little whisper} a new direction, a new way of living, a new tale to be told.  what courage and strength these small {whispers} can give.

have you picked a word for twenty. 13?  i would truly love to here…

    Rebecca - Kristin I am listening to the whispers myself….and I will be here to listen to yours as well. Many days I wish we lived closer so that I could help you more physically rather than by offering words of encouragement and support through typing.
    Love your latest images of the babies. Keep them coming as I miss the birth of new little ones here on the farm since my father sold the last of the Beefers.
    No word for 2013 but a promise to be true to myself. HugsReplyCancel
